Do job search sites like CareerBuilder or Jobs.com actually work?

I have submitted my resume on these sites but mostly get junk mail or scams.

2. Hasn't worked for me. Only get spam mail in my inbox,email. Always some junk also. like work at home type stuff.

4. They do work. I was formerly a recruiter for a Fortune 1000 company and we used Careerbuilder ALL THE TIME to recruit. Yes you will get lots of junk and spammers but the bona fide offers should come via phone.
