Does paying high rent for an apartment help in the search for another apartment later?
I have my first apartment and I am paying $1300 a month in rent. (All bills paid.) I've been here for six months, my lease is in a year, and because of my noisy neighbor I want to move. Another apartment I want is around $1300-1400. Will the fact that I paid this rent and maintained it be counted into the screening process at the next apartment? x.x

- Have you complained to the landlord about the noisy neighbor? If the landlord doesn't do anything about it, I'd say you have no obligation to stay in that apartment. Take a look at your lease and see if it says anything about what the landlord's obligations are. A lease is a contract- meaning that both sides have obligations, not just you. If you have a job and a good credit history, I doubt you'll have a hard time finding another apartment, since it sounds like you can afford to pay a decent amount for it.
- No...the fact that you are breaking your current lease will be counted into the screening process. Count on a bad reference from your current landlord.
