what is the potential of spa career in this recession time?

I would like to get an answer for the above question for my friend. He is a science graduate and wants to pursue for Diploma in Spa therapy. He wants to work in cruise ships.

2. You never know, with this going on there could be a lot of people out there looking for a way to relax.
3. People are seeking comfort anywhere they can these days. I think it's a good idea.
4. You may have a good oppurtunity in this field. However, being it a global recession, I would expect less people spending money on the luxuries.
5. This economy is stressful, and people need relief wherever they can find it. A day at the spa would be good.
6. Bit dicey. On one hand (excuse the pun) while offering "a rub and a tug" usually means better tips, on a cruise ship if "your friend" has got his signals crossed, bumping into the "mishandled massagee" can be a bit awkward. BTW "a friend" has a flaming rash on his tender bits and I er he was wondering....
