The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development reports that 29,570 people of the 7.1 million in federally funded housing are “ineligible citizens.” That’s less than a percent. But authorities may be unaware of thousands more. Chicago reports serving less than 50 ineligible noncitizens. Some prospective tenants are angry about citizens waiting for housing aid that some illegal immigrants are enjoying. 3. Require proof of US citizenship for each person in the household, and restrict residence to the elderly &/or disabled US citizens. It should only go to those citizens who are no longer able to work and provide for themselves and who have no family to take care of them. Public housing should not be going to able-bodied people who commit irresponsible parenthood &/or cannot/will not keep a job.
4. And that’s just the ones they think they know about. What a mess. Public housing, education, free medical, free food, free legal help,interpreters....That amounts to more money a month than I ever earned working. It has to stop.
5. That's funny because the FBI says that "nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties in the United States are illegal aliens"! Me thinks someone doesn't know how to count! Considering that HUD doesn't want to know the legal status of occupants I would think the FBI figure is closer to the truth!

7. I will start with what you are giving in your post. The link you provide is dated Jan. 3rd of this new year and it's content is "light" at my best description. Almost every sentence, word or paragraph can be found in another article dated Jan. 1st of this year plus in the one I refer to a wider more beefier explanation of what your speaking about is given. No one here can gain anything from my explaining this any further. It requires that one is interested and open to reading it themselves. A hamburger will never become a cheeseburger if you are not willing to try and add the cheese. The provided links has much more information than what you post, the best part is if you read them seeing that one is based off the other is not difficult. Docar, may I ask (again) that that you provide a supporting link to the factual percentages that you state. I have many times said for all the numbers and figures you give without a supporting link the information is nothing more than your words. I have a genuine interest into reading these figures and their sources. Edit: If I am missing the point of facts being exact then all we have left to debate is if my belief or yours in correct. Facts or supporting information are giving to help one decide that without the "opinion factor" being the deciding reason. As for illegals that receive these benefits, yes as illegals they are not entitled to receive these but some do so under the rights of their minor children others by lies or pure luck of not being caught. It may nor be right that they receive the benefits by their children's rights but I'm sure not a single one of them filed their own paperwork, approved it and then wrote and sent a check or entered their own name into a government system.

9. Illegals should never be eligible for any benefits, and their babies are not US citizens and should not be eligible for benefits. Chief: I think your kind of missing the point. Most don't care if the facts are exact; if it's "less than one percent" or "twelve percent" Illegals should not be eligible for these benefits. The welfare program was not instituted to provide a GOOD life for illegals, It was instituted to give an equal quality of life to Americans. The fact that Americans can't get this benefit because illegals ARE getting it IS THE POINT.
