where can I find affordable housing in Singapore for a couple of months?

I'm an exchange student and will be staying in Singapore for several months, but I couldn't secure housing on campus. Can anyone recommend some options and tell me what I'm looking at in terms of rent? I'm a little worried cause I know housing is expensive in SG. Thanks!
