How to unscrew a stuck filter housing on my hot tub/spa?

The filter housing on our hot tub is stuck. We can't get it to move at all. How can we removethe filter for replacement?

2. Make certain there is no pressure on the system, the o-ring locks up with pressure. Depending on the diameter of your housing, a large pair of channel locks or a strap wrench should work. But be careful to HOLD BACK you don't want to crack the filter head.
3. Steve and the other answered well.. when That fails I knock it with a craftsmen screwdriver and hammer and spend the 14 dollars to replace it............ Make sure you lube it from now on.......
