Why are there so many people trying to buy vehicles to on craigslist to ship them to Nigeria?
Anyone else noticed that there are several people trying to buy vehicles to on craigslist to ship them to Nigeria? I've had 3 people from african decent come to see a car that I am selling and they all have told me they want it to ship it to Nigeria. We did not agree on a price so I didnt sell it to them. Could this be some kind of scam or is there actually money to be made by shipping vehicles to Nigeria?

- sounds like a scam to me
- SCAM They offer to buy it and send you a check. The check will be for more than you are asking for the car. They will instruct you to cash the check and send the overage back to them or to their "shipper". Unfortunately, the check is fake. It will bounce but only after you send the money out via Western Union or wire transfer. As these types of payments are not reversible, you are left responsible for the bad check.
- Because they're SCAM. They try to lure too honest people & cheat them. Avoid at any cost. Cheers...
- Scam. - Yup, a lot of money to be made selling used cars in Nigeria. all of you here don't know what you're saying and are clearly ignorant. How can it be a scam when you can see the person face to face and they are willing to pay right away?......I know there're lot of email scams from nigeria and stuffs like dat. The reason they all buy it on craigslist or kijiji is because its cheap on this sites or in auctions and then they ship it and sell it in Nigeria for a much more inflated price and get much more than they paid you the seller for it. All of you on here just shut your mouth if you think any Nigerian that wants to do bizness with you is a scammer.
- IT'S NOT A SCAM...you foolish people think everything with NIGERIAN's is a SCAM. Here is the truth...YES there is alot of money to be made by shipping cars to Nigeria. lets say the guy buys a car from you for $2000... he pays about $1000 to ship it to nigeria and clear it with the border. Guess how much that car sells for? 1MILLION NAIRA...which is approximately $8500... I know because i'm Nigerian.
