What to Name My Research Business...?

It's time to start my own business. I've decided to quit my full-time job & go freelance, starting my own independent research business. My target market would be businesses who want research about marketing, the economy, their competitors, the state of their particular industries, etc. I have a B.A. in Communications, and I'm a thesis approval away from an M.A. in Communications. I have 15 years of experience in every form of media: print, market research, presentation/graphic design, radio/disc jockey, internet material & television. I have connections in every branch of media, and I have terrific skills in making relationships with clients. I won awards for my work. My finances are getting together. I honed my research skills with education & professional experience (sales research, and databases i.e. Lexis/Nexis). I know there's a great potential client base in my city. I'm working on a business plan, and I need some suggestions for naming the business & website. Any ideas?

  1. In addition to being an internet marketer I am also a web design manager and I can help you with that. As far as ideas for your business, I think what you are doing is great. If you can find a way to gear your business towards helping businesses generate more qualified leads by pre-screening them using your research expertise-your business would take off instantly. My suggestion on a name would be something simple like... Eco-Status I will think of a few others...I'll send them to you.
  2. Well, look at the words you used to describe your business. Also ask yourself what customers would look under in the yellow pages. Research was a word that stood out. Dont make your name too limiting- you may branch out. For your online name, it's imperative that you try to nab something that has the most popular keywords for your field. Have you researched keyword frequency yet? Research Associates gives the impression of a big company, professional, and is general so you can cover a variety of things. See if that one is taken perhaps? Good luck to you :)
