What is the best way to find a one bedroom apt in Chicago?

I just received a promotion with my current employer and they are relocating me to Chicago. I will not have much time to spend visiting the city prior to my move. I have looked at Craigslist and the apt. seem to go quickly. I didn't know if anyone had any suggestions or new of any great places that are nice to rent? I am also interested in moving some place fun in Chicago, any suggestions would be great.

ALWAYS LOOK FOR WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD FOR THE TIME BEING.INTERNET ALL THE AREAS YOU WANT TO SEE.CHECK FOR PLACES CLOSE TO YOUR JOB.WALKING IS BETTER SINCE EVERYONE AND THEIR DOG HAS A CAR!ASK YOUR EMPLOYER TO HELP FIND LIVING FOR YOU? 3. The absolute best rentals have a For Rent sign in the window and no advertising. THe owners have never heard of Craigslist. YOu need to stay in a hotel and cruise the neighborhoods. The best was is on a bike.You will find lots of great places. Start near Wrigley Field..
