I'm planning to drive to Chicago from DC solo next month, should I put an ad for carpoolers?

Should I put an ad on craigslist? That's one way to save money on gas, but is it dangerous to carpool with strangers on the long distance trip?

1. Its hardly a long distance trip, just drive it solo.
2. Never do anything like that if you want someone to go with you see if a friend or family can go. We live in a dangerous world your life is more important than a few dollars in gas money, just ask your family.
3. I wouldn't do it. See if a friend wants to go and share expenses.
4. i'd be a little careful but if you decide to try it you can also look up on uhaul's website...they have a section for people who are moving..(military and college students) looking for people to ride with.
