Why is McCain fibbing again in a spot that CNN is running?

CNN's posted video of McCain blaming Obama for Fannie Mae and Connie Macks failure as he did nothing about his legislation! The bill McCain is talking about (S190), he was a sponser in the 109th Congress. Actually he is to blame! McCain is LYING again to America and I am tired of videos that are total lies. S. 190 [109th]: Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act ...It Died in a Republican Congress in Committee! Obama never had a chance to vote on it! The bill says: "Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 - Amends the Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992 to establish: (1) in lieu of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), an independent Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Agency which shall have authority over the Federal Home Loan Bank Finance Corporation, the Federal Home Loan Banks, the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac);" understand what the bill said?: "1) in lieu of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), an independent Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Agency which shall have authority over the Federal Home Loan Bank Finance Corporation, the Federal Home Loan Banks, the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac)" This bill was transferring any remaining oversight FROM the government TO an INDEPENDENT! That meant it had NO FEDERAL OVERSIGHT AT ALL! Talk about fibbing. Read the bill! No treading. It is a bill McCain cosponsered and then blamed Obama for not supporting it. The bill never made it out of committee in a Republican Congress, ergo Obama could not vote on it! "The Bill died in the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs….the Chairman of the Committee is Chris Dodd" Actually the bill did die in committee but if you read the question it died in the REPUBLICAN 109th Congress and Chris Doss WAS NOT the chairman, a REPUBLICAN WAS!

  9. The McCain campaign realizes that most voters only hear soundbites and do not have the time and/or the inclination to actually perform fact checks.
  10. I just read in anoither question that Bush had beat McCain in 2000, with 'push polls'- reports implying that McCain had fathered an illegitimate black girl. It appears as though McCain took from that to go ahead and lie to get ahead in time for voting and when the truth comes out, well, just make sure it doesn't get a lot of media coverage.
  11. In ...ahem.....defense of McCain and his lies............. His years as a POW who under went psychological warfare using mind control has obviously been a factor. The main element of mind control is to make the person perceive untruths as truth. His deprogrammers obviously haven't reached the elements in his mind which can now sort fact from fiction. Pity the man but for God's sake don't vote for him.

  13. Just like many of you, I was getting upset every time Pailin and McCain lied. I was afraid their constant ling was going to affect the outcome of the election.The more they do it, now on a daily basis, the more I realized that everyone, even their supporters know they are big fat liars. Remember the children's story The Boy Who Cried Wolf? It's just like that, now no one is paying any attention to them. They are embarrassing themselves.Just think of this example here and just how stupid he sounds, "blaming Obama for the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac collapse". McCain himself, has been in Washington for 35 years, involved with a savings and loan collapse and the Keating 5 scandal, who in their right mind is going to believe anything this guy says. He has lost all credibility, he is a joke. Laughable. My suggestion is give them enough rope, they will continue to hang themselves.
