If the Recovery & Reinvstment Act of 2009 (aka "Stimulus Package") passes in its form by President's Day?

How much will the 'stimulus package" cost next year, because we know that these government agencies getting the cash will fritter it away without anything to show for it, right? They have until 2013 to spend this money, but if it is available tomorrow, it will be gone by December 31, 2009. That is how this works. (p. 9-10) It goes on and on and on and on for pages of appropriation for Inspectors General of every conceivable Department of the Federal Government and the "oversight" of such appropriations of these funds, which costs $25,000,000. When will the waste stop? Please let your senators know if you are outraged with this hemoragge of our taxpayer money. Is this a method of creating Private Sector Jobs? If it passes, be sure to apply for grants. It is the only way to get money without having to work. That is fast becoming the American Way!

What is it about learning from our past mistakes that we don't understand? Thanks for the post...keeping fighting the good fight.
2. How much will it cost? If it fails, it will cost Obama his presidency.
3. Keep in mind that taxes belong to the American people. We need to scream louder if we want to be heard. It is obvious nobody is listening. We don't want our money wasted. Just don't take money out of pay for the next six months or so. That will put spending money in the hands of the people that you "claim" to want to help. Stop putting us further into debt. When is Barney Frank and Chris Dodd going to answer. Plainly said, when do they go on trial?
4. Dear Tuff Dear Tuff Girl, I did attempt to read all over your long question but not successfully understood fully, simply for the reason that my rice wine does my reading for me.... Too many statistics and so confusing! What I do in good economics is that those which are weak, do let them fail totally,, those which have some inklings of some sorts come to continue their business, those could be helped.... Any government could only do so much and in the same respect, any government could only do so little, too. We do need to not only feel reality, but to sense and work out the reality of the economic situation.. Badly run companies must be allowed to perish by their natural deaths.... Death is the step for rebirth.. f
