How do Apartment Locators Get Apartments to Use their service.?

Im looking in to starting an Apartment Locator service. I wanted to know how apartment complexes pick their locators or how locators go about contacting apartment complexes. Thanks for your answers in advance!

  1. just guessing; the locator knows the uniquenesses of apts and about web site layout. I will do this for you; since I am an expert in apartment tenants and landlord laws, I will join you on a speculative basis as an expert and or partner.
  2. Lots of apartment locator services don't charge the apartment complexes to be in their database. They get a commission from the apartment complex when someone rents and used the service to find the apartment. Others don't charge the apartments, but rather they charge people to access the database. It would just be a matter of contacting the apartment management company and offering them a contract with you, however you want to set it up. By the way, there are all kinds of requirements for running an apartment locator service, including things like having a licensed realtor present in the office. It's not the kind of thing you can just jump into without having the necessary certifications and following specific rules.
