How does a business get on a new housing list as a contact?

My husband owns an audio/visual installation business and was told you can get on a new housing listing as a contact for new homes. We are in the DFW (Dallas/Ft Worth)/Kaufman area in Texas. Anybody on this kind of list or know how to go about getting on one?

1. I've never heard of such a thing as an official new housing list of recommended services to new home buyers. What I would do is to take your marketing material and go around the the new home builders in the area as well as your individual local home inspectors. Another thing you could do is create your own list. Now get this, you create your own list of recommended services to new home buyers. You can even go around and visit different companies and ask them if they would like to place a coupon or something in your list. Heck you can even sell listings in your list. This is a different take on an already popular marketing technique used by other companies. How many times have you gone to a restaurant and the place mate has the restaurants name on it and then there are advertisements all over it. Generally these are free mates given to the restaurant by an outside company that gets them made and sells the advertising space. Now more times then not, one of the advertisers on the mate is the one that created it and there by get free advertising plus a little coin in their pocket. Now you don't know which company, because they create a second business for specifically creating these mates. Hope this was helpful.
