Where in Los Angeles can I find a store that will buy my Electric Guitar?

I have a Gibson Electric. Very new. Never been used. I've tried selling it on ebay and craigslist but no one has responded. I don't want to sell it to a pawn shop for $50. The guitar is worth $3,000. Any suggestions to where else I can try selling it?

1. Your best bet is to find a store that will sell it for you on consignment. They keep a percentage of the sale but they do all the work of selling it, plus the more they sell it for the more you get. Talk to McCabe's in Santa Monica (310-828-4497) or possibly the flagship Guitar Center in Hollywood at 7425 Sunset Blvd. While one of these stores might want to buy it outright, they will offer you a dismally low price, which is only fair since they then need to resell it and make a profit. You're better off with a consignment sale.
