Would it be a good idea to take a random road trip to NYC from New Orleans since I don't have a place to stay?

Okay, here's the story: I'm a college senior living in New Orleans, and my Houston parents made it kind of clear that they don't want me back at home (I don't want to go home either.) Anyway, I rented a place at a hostel for the next four days, but I'm not too sure where I'm going to be able to stay after that. So I was on Craigslist, thinking of my options, and there was this girl who was offering to take someone along with her when she was going back home to North Jersey. Do you think it could be a good idea to call her and just go to New York City? :) Perhaps it could be a fun experience! ))) I don't really know what I'd do once I got to NYC though...do you know of anyone there who feels hospitable this Christmas? :) (or Hannukah!! I know there are nice New York Jewish people reading this!!!)

2. You know what... I think you should do it! Why not? I mean, what are your alternatives? -Sleep on the college steps? -Buddy up with some nasty frat boys? -Sulk to mom and pa in defeat? You need to just get out and live a little. Live day by day. Clear your head! Do it, Samian, it'll be good for you.
3. Well I think you should do it too. Keep in mind there or motels to stay at for $36 a week, I think in your other post you just needed a place for two weeks, but if you are looking for some social support then do it. My boyfriend doesnt have a place to stay either, and I would worry about him day and night. He would sleep at some friends house or his moms car. He wasnt allowed to stay at my house because of my parents, but I snuck him in once. Hes in jail now. But thats what he did. And samian, I dont think you should do sexual favors for a place to stay. You have something that no one can take away and thats your dignity, and youre the only one that can protect that. Despite all of your trials and all the loses that you have, that is atleast one thing you can keep close to you.
