What are the steps for suing a company that keeps calling me even though I'm registered Do-Not-Call list?
A paint and roofing company once got my number from a personal referral and they keep calling me asking if I still want to paint my house. They call about every 6 monts to a year even though each time I tell them to take me off their call list. I also tell them that my number is registered on Do-Not-Call.gov I've documented at least three times that they've done this to me. Thanks.

- I believe that the Attorney General's office in the state government is the best place to go. They will pursue it, and you won't have to sue.
- So you get called twice a year? How do you handle such blatant harassment of being called twice a year! OH my god! Good luck with your case. Hopefully the judge isn't an idiot and can see through you. Not everyone follows the do-not-call list. In Canada, only 75% of organizations are subject to it. Non-profit organizations don't use it..
- Go to the Do Not Call website & file a complaint.
- You can't sue them for doing that the same has happened to me but its like every 2 days they call so just tell them to stop calling and while your telling them that yell act angry!
- I think they may be aware of the law that says that in order to avoid litigation they can't call twice in one year. There's a slew of information on this page (at the bottom): http://www.panix.com/~eck/telemarket.html And here: http://redtape.msnbc.com/2007/02/suing_telemarke.html
- Either notify your state's Attorney General or file a complain at the donotcall.gov website.
