Why is Walmart stopping it's workers from organizing Union representation?

This is anti- American and anti employment laws.

1. because they will have to pay them more and give them benefits and then the shareholders and upper management will make less money.

8. Everyone who has a super Wal-Mart in their neighborhood is aware many businesses in the immediate area close. You can't have unions and support communist forced labor from China.

11. Unions are anti-American. To force companies to pay workers wages that aren't deserving is a socialist agenda. It's only purpose is to destroy American values of Capitalism. Walmart is a shining example of what is right in this world. The bandwagon jumpers will all scream and holler about how much they hate Walmart, even as they shop there because of their low prices.
12. Wal-mart is just a horrible, irresponsible corporation. They pay people crap wages, then encourage them to work the system and take advantage of government handouts. How anyone , con or lib, can support them is beyond me. These people need to unionize and make wal-mart take responsibility for providing the American people with quality jobs, and we should all be supporting them.
13. Unionized workers will want more benefits, higher pay, more job security, and many other things. This will increase the cost of labor and require Wal-Mart to raise prices. Since Wal-Mart's whole business strategy is based on price leadership, it would drive them out of business. Also, no other employer in the industry (big box retail) has a unionized workforce. Target, Shopko, Kmart, and others all do the exact same things Wal-Mart does. It would put Wal-Mart at a competitive disadvantage in their own industry to unionize. Wal-Mart is not violating any employment laws by making it difficult for their employees to unionize. Trying to make a profit and stay in business, which is Wal-Mart's goal, is not anti-American.
14. Quite frankly because they are horrible scared of their employees. If they allow them to have power, they might realize that they are being screwed out of their minds by "pro-business" economists that have no problem kicking the working class while they are down. Wal-mart knows that if the workers get power they will be able to strike and get something out of it. In the past when workers went on strike Wal-Mart just cut their losses and moved on. The conditions under which they work are horrible, but it stands because the worker has no stand in big business. Its horrible and it needs to be stopped.
15. Personally,I don't care if you price yourself out of a job or not with union wages. You can organize any union you want to within the law. When did Unions become the American Way?Maybe 30% are Union now. At one time, Unions meant something and did protect workers. However, why don't you find out what the Union BA is making in your area. Then figure out why they want you to have high wages and higher dues. Dah! Al I ever got out of a union that I was forced to join and pay into: was threats, and bullshit. Had a Union attorney offer to go outside and deal with it like gentleman if we did not agree with him. This was a Police Union. Should have gone outside ahead of him and capped his ass when he came out. All they ever did was collect my pay and give us weeny contracts that was less than what we were getting before we had a Union. Plus, they had rights to solicit our entire county to make money. Another Dah! My best day was when I made Sergeant and got out of that union. Union is screwing you and making you ask them for more and then wanting you to give them a kiss. Wake up man.
16. Walmart enjoys the Communist China work ethic, and the profits, but wants to rule with Fascist (Confederate Slave) policies. It is all DEEP SOUTH POLITICAL THINKING.
17. Walmart is free to run its company how it pleases just as its employees are free to seek better employment... I don't shop at Walmart. Not because they don't allow unionization, but because I prefer the sense of community and service that small businesses provide. This is a pretty minor reason, but I stand by it firmly... How come all the union guys I know say they hate Walmart, but shop there nevertheless? The answer: Unions are weak. Unions are dying because they don't instill pride in the workers. Unions are just another deduct from their paychecks right beside the US government.

19. Walmart is preventing any form of unionization of workers, for the same reason why any power, whether political or corporate, seeks to thwart the collaboration of dissenters to their objectives. Walmart cannot continue its exploitive practices, which fill the coffers of the heads of their company and investors with an obscene amount of wealth, if workers were allowed to assemble together against Walmart. Again, America’s ignorance, or its marginalization of historical truths is its downfall. Unions, though getting a bad reputation throughout our history, have, for the most part, been instrumental in preserving the rights and dignity of the worker, which would otherwise be obliterated by corporate powers, that seek to increase profits at any expense. If more Americans would learn their history, and understand about the importance of collective worker protest against the unscrupulous corporate machines, institutions like Walmart would not be left to have unfettered power to do as it pleases.
