How do I begin a career in law enforcement?
I'm working on a bachelors, but only have ayears worth of credits. My end goal is the PA State Police, or at least a township. I know I have to be act certified, how do I get that if not from an academy, and how do I get into the academy, and how pretty much everything else. If you don't want to waste time answering all of the questions, at least provide me with some links.

- Go to the Recruiting Office where you would like to work and let them guide you as to what you will need. Looks like Rek T might have some good links for you, too, but talking with them face-to-face is always a good way to get more information than you can online sometimes. Good luck to you and God bless
- In order to even be able to go to the academy, you must have a sponser. Go to the recruiting office in the department in which you want to work and get an application and apply. I'm not sure how PA works, but in Texas, if you get hired, they'll be your sponser and help you pay for the academy. You'll go through a hiring process before you get hired. You'll be polygraphed, you'll need to get a physical and psychological exam, and a physical ablities test, etc. Hope this helps :)
