Can the manager of an apartment complex show an apartment when it is still occupied up to Dec 1st?

The renter is planning on moving the middle of November and will still have their personal belongings in the apartment. Their rent is paid for the month of November until December 1st. Should they let the manager show the apartment even though their lease is not up til December?

Public Comments

  1. Not until the keys are turned in Nov 31st-Dec 1st
  2. not without approval from current residents. it would be invasion of privacy.
  3. Whoever is living there has to give their permission or whatever, first.
  4. read your lease contract, leases usually provide management with the right to enter the unit for purposes of repair or showing to prospective tenants with 24 hours notice, regardless of when the lease expires.
  5. The mgr should notify the renter at least 24 hrs in advance and get their permission first.
  6. Read the lease... but most of the ones that I know they can as long as there has been a written notice to move out. But why would they do that if there is a another one to show? Talk to the manager and ask her if she would mind not showing the apartment.
