An Army recruiter won't stop bothering me?

Here's the thing,I just turned 16 and me and my older brother both live with our grandparents. The Army recruiter called at the house one day and asked for my brother and I said he wasn't home. The recruiter started asking me questions like how old am I and what i wanted to do in life. I told him that I was 16 and for him to call back next year and I'll think about it. He came to our school and found out who I was and bothered me there and everytime I go to the mall with my friends,he follows me around and tells me that if I dont join the Army that I'll end up like the rest of the losers in this town. I mean,I'm only 16,I CANT join, what doesnt he understand about that? I told him to stop bothering me but he wont. How can I make this stop?

  1. Next time tell him you already signed a "Letter of Intent" for the Marine Corp!
  2. If it's that bad, you can go to the recruiting station and talk to the station commander (usually his First Sergeant) about this recruiter. Or, just threaten the recruiter with the fact that you're thinking of talking to his boss if he doesn't stop! I apologize for for any stress that he has caused. Please don't let his actions discourage your decision! Good luck!
  3. I am not even kidding, next time he does that at the mall, start yelling "No, I AM NOT GOING TO JOIN THE ARMY, EVER! WHY WOULD I?!" I have nothing against militart service, hell I am in the Air Force but that is just ridiculous, some Army recruiters, jeez
  4. Wow, that's really weird. Maybe it's because you live in a small town? I've never heard of a recruiter stalking someone that badly....you ought to get a restrainin order if this is actually a real situation and not a joke.
  5. Just say you already joined another branch, they will quit calling right away, I am in AIT now and have received two calls from recruiters in the past week, its funny to see their reaction to find out I am in the Army.
  6. Report him to his superior officer. File an official complaint.. they can't ignore those..
  7. Ask him to take your number off the call list. The Navy kept trying to call my brother, and he wasn't even eligible for service due to brain surgery. I ended up going down to the recruiter's office and asking them to remove our number from their list. After that, no more problems.
