Can i join the army if i have a slight form of asthma?
Well i am 16 and want to sign up to join infantry in the british army. Sometimes in a place in particular my asthma rides up on me. Like when i go to 1 of my firends house if im staying in the morning i will wake up with a tight chest and need to use an inhaler.Might be because its cold sometimes or myabe the dogs hair or something never sure about the reason their. Also sometimes If i go running in the cold sometimes it will come again not that bad, i am able to cope with it and carry on running but an inhaler would help me out with the little bit of pain it causes me Will this stop me from getting in ?

- you can just not tell them .. i mean i told my recruiter and he was all you did not just say that i did not just hear that .. anyhow you can get an inhailor while in just dont say you have it to the recruitor or meps and you will get in. i hope that made sense.. i mean if your breathing problems are severe then by all means dont lie about it but if your like me and you just have a few attacks every now and then and can manage and work through it then you should be okay.. basically my recruiter said dont tell me unless its really bad .. but you will be able to get what you need while your in becaus ethey will assume its spontanious like developing runners asthma.
