I'm thinking of enrolling in US Career Institute for Medical Billing. Any success stories?
I was looking into their program that could allow you to work from home while doing medical claims and billing. I was wondering if anyone has any stories pertaining that they could share, good or bad.

- No stories about success or failure of U.S. Career Institute. I am aware of the modern movement to install software for billing and supply orders in the medical office and hospital setting. Many companies are trying to move into this business so you are in the right field. Maybe, someone can offer assurance on U.S. Career Institute.
- Hello Hpal, Allow me to set things straight for you or anyone that will read your question later on. There Are NO Medical Billing Training Programs That Could Allow You To Work From Home Doing Medical Claims And Billing. Why? Simply put, there are no legitimate companies out there that will hire or even contract you to do medical billing/coding from home. The only way you are going to do medical billing/coding from home is if: You first get hired by a practice, clinic, hospital, etc., and your employer has a telecommuter program already set up so you can securely receive and deliver your completed workload via some sort of network. Most small practices are just starting to become networked and the medium/big offices that are won’t just allow you to work from home until: You have been an employee of theirs for at least six months to a year. No office or business at this stage of the game (especially HIPAA enforced) is going to let a new employee to have that much access to protected health information without them (you) proving to your employer over time that you are a competent biller/coder, can follow the directions and policies that the practice puts forth, you are deemed the personality that is trustworthy and can function without having a boss over your back to make sure things get done in a timely fashion and the list goes on and on. So, the only other way to work from home doing medical billing is by starting you own home based medical billing business. I can’t go into what you need to do here to make that a reality because it would take days for me to spell everything out but you should visit the link below my name and read what an expert has to say about the correct way of starting a home base medical billing business. I am also going to give you another link to what an industry expert has to say about “Choosing the right medical billing training course in 2009 to start your own medical billing business”.
