Are there any real work from home jobs that can earn 1k a month?

I am an honest, hardworking person. I've grown up in a kitchen my entire life and understand hard work, but currently even working 2 jobs I'm having a hard time getting by. I've always been interested in a telecommuting/ work from home job and I am curious if anyone out there has found a real company that doesn't charge you $200 up front. I'm trying to make an extra 1k a month. Currently I'm paying $480 in Rx's.

  1. The only way to make money at home is to start your own business. No one is going to pay you any sort of salary or wages to work at home! Telecommuting is arrangement with your current employer, if you have a position that lends itself to such. What are your skills, and how can you adapt them to create a home-based business? Note that starting any type of biz requires an investment up front -- money and time. But these "work at home" deals are all scams. They are not going to pay you to do diddly at home. They are ways to start a biz, typically sales, and you make a commission on sales through your website (affiliate marketing) or you make profits on what you buy and resell. If you want wages/salary, you have to get a job, get a better-paying job.
  2. Unfortunately, there are hardly any work from home jobs that are legit especially if asking for money upfront or for personal info which can put one at risk for identity theft: http://www.ftc.gov and can click 'identity theft' or such.
  3. as Ibu Guru has said, the ony way to work at home is to start your own business, but let me add that anything worthwhile requires cash investment. The truth is that there is no free cheese, only in the mousetrap... like any bank, you cannot expect to withdraw anything out unless you put something in first! I know because I work from home myself. If that does not sound like you, is better to stick to a job and try to work your way up! i hope it helps! :)
  4. "If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate." There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare. If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.
  5. I agree with ibu guru. Says it all.
  6. Sure there are thousands of work home jobs out there. I love helping others find work from home and I love proving people wrong when they say there is no such thing as a work home or telecommuting job. First of all it is a known FACT that many Top companies hire employees to work from home. Don't believe me. I'll prove it. Good Luck and Take Care
  7. JR I completely sympathize with your situation, and was in the same one a few months ago as well. The Economy is so bad that the risk of at home jobs can be scary, but there are a few good companies out there. They need honest and hardworking people like yourself. Check out: http://thefizz.blueprintmarketingsystems, they seem to be one of the few opportunities out there that you can actual make a steady income. This is not a get rich quick sort of thing. You have to fill out an application and be accepted to start making an income.
