Why dont people want to live in an affordable housing area?

Here's the question guys, we have affordable housing over in the west end area of birmingham, we purchased the property and we are renovating the property so why can't we get any prospects? If you have any recommendations as far as if you know someone who may be seeking affordable housing and so much more? Why is it so hard to seek tenants who want nice housing at cheap rates?

1. Prices are usually determined by demand. Higher demand areas get higher prices. When prices are low, it’s usually because fewer people want to live in an area. In essence, you’re dealing with a small pool of potential buyers/renters. What is it about this area that makes it low priced? Is there high crime crime? Next to a highway? Bad school district? Whatever’s keeping the price low could well be what’s keeping your prospects away.
