  1. I'm not going to make a complete list, but generally speaking, anything to do with business, economics, science, engineering, information technology or computer science is a great bet for getting a job. It would be best to avoid a business degree like "Management" and study something with a more concrete skill set, like accounting or finance.
  2. 1. in times of economy downturn everyone rushes back to school (grad school applications this year alone have increase 2-18 folds depending on size of university eg) U of Michigan business school, law school saw about 8 fold increase in applicants and Michigan State was about 3-5 folds for their business school and 8 folds in their law school applicants). 2. now in terms of bachelor degrees these are the most popular degree but they DO NOT guarantee a job today: Accounting, Marketing, Advertising, Finance, Hospitality Business. 3. keep this in mind marketing, advertising right now is bad thing to do if one is to complete it and go into the job market between now and 2010, 2011 is the expected time for these two jobs to pick up. 4.Hospitality business and accounting majors always have jobs because lets face it hotels, restaurants, casinos all need people who can run their businesses and well almost most of americans surprisingly go to an accountant at least once a year or have a regular, So accounting firms always are hiring. And since the economy is in the shit they are more likely to pick up fresh grads compared to those in the last 3 years, unless the job is of course management level then masters are preferred.
