Is there any other housing programs besides section 8 housing in Baltimore ,Maryland?

Im 23 years old and I have 3 young children.I have been the section 8 waiting list for about 5 years now and I was just recently told that now it takes 7 years or more to get to the top of the waiting list.The thing is that I need help now.

1. Nope, that is the one. If you have great need you will not be waiting that long, you are placed on the list according to need, it is not linear.
