Doe's anyone have any success with job sites?

I mean really, has anyone found employment through any of these job sites like monster, snag a job, employment guide, etc...? Do you think these sites are only out to extract information to sell?

1. I've had my resume up for 2 years and I only had one job interview that resulted from these websites. All the jobs I've ever had were the result of networking.
2. I have had resumes on these sites for about 4 years, but only in the last year did I get a bite. I got the job, but the job was one that no one internally wanted. In other words, its a lame job. I think job sites have taken the place of the traditional newspaper want ads: these are just jobs, nothing stellar. The company needs someone to fill an empty chair, and they are using a net to catch the most fish. Good Luck in your search though!
