What do you think about this "gaming" tower?
http://sacramento.craigslist.org/sys/1086722947.html I'm trying to purchase a new desktop in my area. Not looking to purchase online or anything that isn't in person. But what do you think? - It's not the best, but it's good enough to game. If it's over $700 don't buy it, those parts aren't great, you can easily rebuild the system with the new AMD quad for the same amount and maybe 2GB more ram.
- That sh*t can't run crysis at 2xAA son! Not the best gaming tower, but yeah it'll run most games near high/max..
- Yes that is pretty good for gaming but I would upgrade the ram.
- Greatly overpriced my friend, i believe he has overexaggerated its worth by 200$. However it is still not a bad computer.
- It's a ripoff. That computer should sell for around 650$ or even less. Antec 900: 100$ AMD Quad Core - 170$ Zalman Cooler - 50$ RAM - 25$ OS - Free, seems it's a pirated version. (Sheer speculation, but I'm probably right. Read what he has to say about the Vista version). Monitor - 100$ PSU - 50$ DVD Burner - 20$ Graphics Card - 80$ HDD - 40$ Total = $635 Build fee = 100$ Used Deduction = -200$ Should sell for 550$ish. Nowhere near 900$, that's a very bad buy. You should go Intel, for starters. A better GPU is also a necessity for the price range you're in. A GTS 250 is a fabulous budget card, but I'd say a GTX 260 is worth the extra 40$. If you can find a computer for around 900$ with a decent Intel CPU, PSU, case, mobo, RAM, and a 9800gtx+ at least, then it's worth about 800$. Just a bit of a guideline buy. The computer itself is alright. You could run most games on high settings. However, you could get a MUCH better system for the same amount of money.
- Definitely overpriced by at least $250-300. Buying a $900 computer that only has a 9600GT?, HAHA. Quit being a baby and go to www.newegg.com
