- It has a lot of miles but it's a nice looking car.
- Pass on that one; way too many miles; keep looking; Audi's are decent cars but it is best to buy one with much fewer miles and newer. I've had an audi A4, 2 Honda Accords and now drive an Acura TSX. The Audi was by far the most exciting car to drive but expensive to maintain. The Hondas and Acura are best for reliability and cost of ownership.
- i would defeneitly pass way to many miles , and the price is crazy, They wont get that amount, and looking that the pictures the bumper looks as if is coming detatched? Cold be wrong there if your looking in that price range I'd consider something with a few less years and miles on it
- they have a special place for people like you on the internet texasaudigroup(dot)com
- Pass on it. High mileage and the 2.8L V6 is somewhat gutless, couple that to the Quattro AWD system and you've lost a little more power. If you want an Audi look for a newer A4 with 1.8T, 2.0T or 3.0 V6. Quattro is nice to have if you live somewhere that the road conditions are less than ideal (snow/rain/gravel) but otherwise the ASR (traction control) is usually sufficient for maintaining handling and traction. Audi's are great cars and are the often overlooked German sedans. They typically offer refined handling, and for most people the standard FWD is easier to drive and control than the RWD of a BMW or Mercedes. Audi also does a great job building engines that generate more torque in the lower RPM range, this makes the car more peppy and improves acceleration from a stop as well as when passing without downshifting. I currently own a 2006 A3 2.0T with a 6 Speed Manual and have no problem getting the jump on cars with V6s with 3.0l+ displacement.
- Greetings Brother Cory, First off, Audi manufactures excellent automobiles. The Audi in the picture was once a nice ride and could be considered the cat's meow... But, It appears that this A6 has been thoroughly used and abused. I can guarantee that the factory scheduled maintenance has not been kept up and with Bridgestone tires and crooked front bumper to boot, it looks like a MONEY PIT!.. *,..,* I can tell you right now, just based on the pics alone, that it is not worth $4800 at all. The NADA website estimates this car's value at about $3200 in rough condition, but that's still too much for this ride. Based on the fact that factory scheduled maintenance was not kept up, pay no more than $2000 (and that's if you really want it)!.. http://www.nadaguides.com/usedcars.aspx?LI=1-21-1-5013-0-0-0&l=1&w=21&p=1&f=5014&m=1190&d=200&y=1999&c=16&vi=1568&da=-1&mi=193,000 The problem is that regardless if the seller gave you this ride for free, you as the owner are more than likely going to have a rude awakening with repair costs when this abused Audi breaks down on you. You are looking at thousands of dollars in repairs and possibly a bad experience owning an Audi. In closing, two quick things. Not trying to sound rude but the car is not clean. It's dirty! Dirty engine, dirty carpets, etc. Also, be patient. Seek and you shall find a used Audi that the previous owner complied with factory scheduled maintenance. You will see that the car will be in much better condition and worth spending $4800!.. Good luck in whatever you decide bro!..
- blue interior - nasty Audi's actually sell cheap so that is no great deal. I just bought a 2000 A8 for 6700.00 and a 02 A6 Avant for 7000.00 the deals are out there but Iooked for a few months till I found what I wanted. Use craigslittlehelper.com it will speed up the search.
- Honestly I am a big fan of Audis and own a 2001 s4. But I must say stay away from that car. The 2.8l engine in that car is the worst engine that Audi or VW has ever put out, believe me stay away. Plus the high mileage, just not a good idea to get yourself into, if you are looking for an audi of that time period I would look at the 1.8t a4's great gas mileage and a much better engine. I do believe that audi's are great cars and they are reliable if you treat them right, but buyer beware they can be a money pit if you dont. Bottom line stay away from high mileage Audi with 2.8 look for that car with different engine or at the 1.8t a4 not the 2.8 a4 cause it is the same engine as in that a6. Good luck.
