Can they help about my web project?

Hi, I am in process of developing a web project related to jobs that collects jobs from various other sites like like yahoo jobs, monster jobs and other job sites like usajobsly.com, and displays job results in my website search results just like in indeed.com. But I am presently stuck and not able to understand how can I display various fields like Date of job, city/state, experience, type of job and other fields used on the parent site. I hope to send an email to these sites like yahoo, monster, and jobster to help me about providing their database that includes the above mentioned fields(like date of job, job title, type of job, location, salary etc.). Do you think that it could work and they can provide me with the required tables/fields out of their job database? Kindly suggest. Answers from experienced in this field of development are highly desirable.

  1. They might expose a service that allows you to access this data without going to their website. They will not provide you with the access to their tables or their structure. If they do not provide you with a resource to their data, then you could do what is called "screen scraping" and troll their sites and collect information about them for displaying data to a user on your site.

  3. At Indeed, we actually offer several ways to access our data. The best would be to sign up for a publisher account here: https://ads.indeed.com/jobroll/ and from within that we'd give you access to several widgets and other easy solutions to adding jobs to your existing website. Another option is to make use of our XML feeds. Please see our Webmasters page http://www.indeed.com/tools/webmaster/ for details about the Web Services API or other job search products that may be helpful. By the way, I'd suggest using Indeed would be better than trying any or all of the other sources you mention since Indeed's index includes jobs from all of the above it provides the most comprehensive listing of job results available from one single source. Please feel free to email us from the site with any questions. http://www.indeed.com/
