- Well if you consider this being sold like a "garage sale" thing then you should go too much over $100. It depends on the quality of it and all, and how much you bought it for. BUT DONT TELL THE CUSTOMERS HOW MUCH YOU GOT IT FOR! Just keep trying to inch it up a few dollars if someone wants to buy it.
- if it is too big for you then keep on looking for another bike and forget about this one! Too big means you cannot ride it so leave it and move on...

- Anytime you want to find out about a bike just Google it you will come up with bikes for sale, prices paid, reviews and recals if any. The seller says the bike is too large for him so that tells you he is the second or third owner and he propably wants what he paid for it or more if he got a deal. You need to make sure it's in good shape and have it checked out at a dealer if you want to buy. It wont hurt to start out low, around $400. A used bike usually goes for half of what it cost's new. http://www.roadbikereview.com/cat/latest-bikes/road-bike/trek/PRD_290745_5668crx.aspx http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Trek+2100+Pro+Carbon&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq= EDIT: pass on this bike I was thinking it was a newer 2007 model for some reasion. I guess I had the wrong page up.
- From the picture, it is impossible to tell if this bike is worth buying. The picture is too small, and taken from the wrong side to be useful. There is no description of the bike other than that it is light. This bike is made with carbon fiber tubes bonded to aluminum lugs, which sometimes had bonding issues. Any warranty it had will have been lost in the mists of time. As I recall they were known to be a somewhat harsh ride. With those downtube shifters, I would offer $250, as long as it fit you.
- That is a VERY old bike, from 1992 or 1993 The 2100 that is pictured was one of their models before their OCLV... they were still made in the US right alongside their last steel models. Anyway, the bike has 3 tubes carbon fiber bonded into aluminum lugs and Shimano 105/RX100 14 speed drivetrain. It was also their first bike to use their Matrix "Deep V" (REALLY lightweight) rims. Not a terrible bike in it's day, it had a retail price of $949. I normally don't trust bonded frames that are over 10 years old due to the way that some epoxies get brittle, but ignoring that it is probably worth something about $550.00 if it needs no work. For a pretty accurate analysis, go to http://thecheapbikeshop.com and click on Bike Value Calculator. Input the info, using $949 as the price paid and 1993 as the year. Tab through everything to populate all the fields. Print it out and show the seller, offering him the "Actual Cash Value" and subtracting the amount shown in refurbish estimate.
