2. For $600 ... are those US dollars? If they are, then you could probably buy a new laptop at or above that spec for that money ... Below is an example though I'm not from the US so I don't know exactly how accurate the pricing is ...
3. $600 dollars can buy you a better machine then this - 512MB memory is low and 40GB hard drive is small. I would get at least a 80GB hdd and probably 1-2GB of memory (and this will easily be possible with $600)
