Is there a no call list for cell phone numbers?

Somebody sent me an email about this, but alas, I can't find it. It's annoying enough when they call your home phone, but on a pay as you go plan where you pay 25 cents a minute for both outgoing and incoming calls, it's downright outrageous! How the heck is it even legal?

Hey Tater- Thanks for posting this....I keep getting (Along with most ppl I know) a recorded call- "This is your 2nd Notice that your Car Insurance"...blah-blah-blah...I hang up before it finishes. I've tried to call them back to say, DO NOT CALL, but, it is only a busy tone..Go figure, huh? Have a great weekend, Friend!
7. Tracfone keeps texting me about buying more units and that costs every time they do it. Grrr. It seems to me there is a do not call list and I, too, remember a yahoo answers question about it,but can't find it either.

9. Duke is right. Regarding Snopes, there may not be a deadline, but telemarketers have called my cell phone, and the cell phone of everyone in my family, multiple times.. Registering it at DoNotCall.gov should take care of that problem. My home phone is registered, and I hardly ever get even one anymore, let alone the 15 to 20 calls a day used to get.

11. My carrier is US Cellular & they gave me a website to go on that allows you to put all numbers on there just not your cell number. Which registers you they said it takes about 30 days to kick in but then all you have to do is tell them you are registered & if they call again you can turn them into the Better Business. It is very aggravating when they are calling you & you are driving a car that barely makes it down the road.

Hi Tarter, Yes it's very unfair..I have some Jackass texting dirty jokes to Me on My Cell and I don't have texting on My Plan..The Jackass cause an extra $18.00 on My cell phone bill..I also get calls about, this is your last chance to insurance your vehicle,your warranty has run out..
