Moving to Austin, Texas know any dog rescues?

We want a cute apartment dog that doesn't shed to much and we want to know a rescue for them so we can foster then if we like the dog adopt. We do not want to adopt a dog then realize it is not the dog for us so please don't say pet finder or anything because we are not adopting yet i want to help out then if it is the dog for me adopt.

2. ASPCA is a great big shelter, you can foster and adopt too. On Animal Planet there is a TV show called: Animal Cops Houston it's about dogs,cats,horses, and lots of other animals being recused by neclected and harmful humans. They have lots of breeds of dogs and cats.
3. Town Lake Animal Shelter is the county shelter, it is also a kill shelter, but works with rescues as well. Here is their website: http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/health/animal_services.htm
