if i have a misdemeanor would i not qualify for living in a project housing authority?

I have a few misdemeanor's nothing major just was young and dumb and 1 with with a previous girlfriend (the mother of my kids) But I need to be put on the lease with my now new fiance. But she's saying she might not be able to because of my record, so in other words she's saying without saying that I would have to move out. But isn't it felonies that affect that?

1. I would have her call and ask without giving her name. But, If you are able to work or are working, you may not qualify for the public housing anymore as a household.........
