Is it ok to let the guys who advertise for labor/move on craigslist help with moving?

I'm moving for the first time and could use some help, and i saw these ads on craigslist where some people advertise to help with moving. I want to make sure its alright to hire them?

1. A significant portion of them are illegal aliens. Your call.
2. It's up to you. There is no way to check them out. If you DO decide to use them, make sure that any valuables which are somewhat small are moved by yourself. In other words, expensive watches, jewels, small technology items, etc.
