Is it possible to print from a wireless laptop?

I have a desk top in my basement connected to my printer. How can I use my printer - using my wireless laptop? I am on a network. Lets say - I'm upstairs with my laptop - my printer is in the basement.. How can I send to my printer in the basement from my Lap top upstairs and print out a document? Appreciate all answers. 1. I do that all the time... What you need to do is on your computer downstairs, go to the printers and faxes window through the start menu or control panel. Right click on the printer that you have set up on that computer and then click on sharing. Click on the radio button next to Share this printer and then give it a name. Now click ok. Now, on your computer, when you go to print something, it should show you the printer as an option. The first time that you use it, it will have to install a driver to use it, but you should be set.
