How many of you would give up your jobs completely?

IF, the money you earn now will be given to you anyway, regardless of how much work you do for your employer. Even if you work, you won't be paid more. In such a situation, how many of you would give up the job?

  1. I couldn't. I'd get into way too much trouble.
  2. me me me!!
  3. I think most people would but I don't think you're talking about normal jobs. Are you talking about alimony?
  4. If money were no object, I would continue to work the job for a couple of days a week (I owe them that much), and spend the rest of my time working on my art.
  5. I would, Id walk the great wall of china, settle down in africa and study something.
  6. Isn't that why we have so many people in America on welfare?
  7. I work for satisfaction, not income as it is. It's my business and with the recession, I'm barely squeaking by.
  8. Give me my pink slip. I could find lots of fun things to do, if I were getting a regular salary.
  9. Of course I would. It would free me up to do more fulfilling work, both for myself and for my community. F*ck wage slavery.
  10. I gave up work a few years ago I have no work ethic Americans have been conditioned to feel guilty if they don't work
  11. I would not. Money doesn't mean anything to me unless I've done something worthwhile to earn it.
  12. And do what? I work at a nonprofit educational institution, and I derive more satisfaction from being part of a team that accomplishes its mission than I get from the money (which isn't much). Working helps keep me sane.
  13. I'd do it ^5 I'd travel instead and have more time to use the money to get on with my plans without the setback of actually having to do the work. What's not to love? Now I'm kinda sad because it's not happening. Thanks, asshat! ='o(
  14. I wouldn't. I love my life - but it'd be nice to be able to take time off as needed.
  15. I don't have a job, but my husband does and I know he would give his up instantly if he could still get the same amount of money. He has lots of interests and is not dependent on his job to give meaning to his life.
  16. I don't work right now, but when I do, I'm going to take up a job which satisfies me. Something which continously challenges my mind, and makes me use my brains. Money isn't much of an issue. (It's an issue because I would need it for survival, but since I'm getting that money, it's no issue) I wouldn't give up my job. I would be working because I would want to be working.
