Opions Needed PLease!!!?

Hey well I need some opinions from other people. I put an add up on crags list for a roommate and it appears that the only type of people I get are around 27 which isn't too bad but then they go on to say that they are from a different country. Then they state they are willing to pay me upfront so that I know they are serious about living here. How can I trust someone that isn't living here and I can’t even meat them person to person. They want pictures and stuff... do i trust them? Or are they creepy people just trying to scam me somehow? Thanks

1. There probably serious about it, but beware. You are talking about living in the same house with another person. If there from another country, that also means another culture. I wouldn't go there if I were you.
2. In todays times it's dangerous to have folks move in, get in your car or you get out to help them. Sad situation, but true.
3. Why would someone need a picture of someone that is going to be a roommate? Sounds like they have something else in mind instead of just sharing a flat....
4. There are too many dangerous or flakey people out there Chris. Never take a roommate you haven't met and always get people references from them, from the last few places they used to live at.

6. Sounds like an internet scam! Pay you upfront? What are they asking for? All you checking account information? SCAM!!!! Don't you have a local town/city paper? One that is delivered locally in your area?
7. Please be very careful when dealing with people through the internet. Especially if they want pics and stuff. That's super creeepy. Don't deal with people that you can't meet or get honest references from. Only accept offers of people who are willing to meet you, have a job and are able to give you many reliable references.
