Do you have to have family members living with you to get section 8 housing?

I am in need of section 8 housing, but im not sure if i can get section 8 because im only 1 person. (if that makes sense)

1. i am not sure if it is based only on income or family sz. u will have to contact your human servcs ofc for the details. there is ususally a long wait for section 8. you may want to check out low-income apt buildings in your area u may have better luck with that. good luck
2. . I know several women who live alone on section 8...I dont know what the rules are--but you can get in touch with Social Service. They will help you.
