Alice DeeJay songs sound strikingly familiar to Safri Duo?

Better Off Alone sounds strikingly familiar to Played A Live...anyone agree? Another Alice DeeJay song sounds similar too but I forget what it is. Am i going nuts? If they are in fact similar, is there a reason for it or just completely coincidental?
