Can I sue my local section 8 housing assistance office?
Does anyone know how or if I can sue my local section 8 housing assistance program. They have broken several of their own rules, and caused extreme stress on myself and my family. We have been going through their "proper channels" for 3 months now, to no avail. They have broken 3 of their own rules as well as apparently falsifying documents. Can anyone recommend a good federal attorney or at least a Missouri attorney.

- Hi, Suing anyone, especially the government, is wasting money unless the payoff is huge. Might be better for you to follow through on the channels established. Find out where the next level up is from your local assistance program. Write to them; be specific. Tell them what you know (be very specific - dates/times/locations/people involved/issues/ discussions/etc.) and what they need to do to resolve the issue for you. If they don't respond, go to the next level up. Keep going up as far as you can. Keep a running history of everything you send - use certified/receipt acknowledgment for mailings) Be persistent and be patient; keep your focus on the resolution you want. Best Wishes!
- You would have to sue HUD, not the people who work in the local office.
