What's the differences between "subsidized apartment" and "housing authority leased housing"?

I live in nyc. Does anyone know the differences between the two?

  1. They are the same for you. The city owns the subsidized housing, a private owner leases the housing to the city in the other case. The requirements are the same for both, and the HUD maintains both.
