Why does the Quensland Government spend Billions on Earth works whilst the housing situation is desperate?

The waiting for public housing is absurd!! Where are people to live when rental prices exceed the tenants ability to pay? Our government does not care. There is land around Brisbane marked for Housing commission usage and has been so marked for many years now without any sign of development into public housing. Perhaps they are waiting for a time in the future to sell it to private developers at a (No doubt) huge profit.

1. Bob, why do you expect them to provide you with a place to live? Why not get a better job of move somewhere else that you can afford? Homeless is affordable, No rent, No utilities, No taxes, No ties, seems perfect for you. By the way, why should the government care? It is not your daddy. It's absurd that some always want a Free Ride!
