- There is probably a training location within a radius of your house and the are doing annual training
- ummm well NOT giving us your location at all is reallly going to get you an answer.
- uhh, why are they where? Where are you? And if you chose to live near a military base, guess what, you can't really complain and still sound intelligent.
- Well,,,,. You knew there was an army base close by when you moved in. You knew the army operated 24/7/365- and when not traveling by ground vehicles we traveled by rotorwing. What they are doing is: 1)Practicing aerial manouvers so they don't lose their flying skills. 2)Clocking airtime so the pilots don't lose their flight status. 3)Checking the rotorwings prior to sending them overseas to be shot at, destroyed, over the max hours allowed per airframe so they can be sent back stateside then overhauled and "zero time" the frames again. 4)They could be practicing for a top secret military operation insertion- this is more probable than you realize. Of course the mission will be scrubbed at the last second (Man that used to make me angry)
- I had 5 Chinooks buzz my apartment 2 weeks ago. It was scary at first, because I don't live on an Army post. But there's one 40 miles east, sooo...
- If this is not an every day or even a regular thing you most likely do not live near a military base. So here is what is most likely. It is summer time which is the time of year the National Guard, and the Reserves conduct their Annual 2 weeks of active training.
- They are trying to look in your windows! Seriously, without knowing where you are located I really can't answer this question and neither can anyone else. But if you are near a military installation, then your house probably sits right in the middle of an air corridor that is used. A lot of time, especially at night, the birds will fly in formation to practice maneuvers and formation flying not to meantion logging some hours. While at Fort Hood which has been there forever and a day, people started complaining about the loud booms of gunnery and the helicopters flying at all hours of the night. Never mind that the installation was there first and the cities around decided to build right up to the post. What does everyone expect when they build/move right next to a military post?

- some lady in the area is probably tanning topless.
