Why do my UPS Thermal Printer jobs show up in the print queue but they won't print?

The only way I can get them to print is if I power down the computer and then when I re-boot they print automatically.

  1. It could be the presence of Adobe Shockwave software. Delete the Shockwave file in the Windows/System32/Spool/Printer directory. Note that you may have to re-install the Thermal Printer's driver software after this.
  2. You are getting a "latch-up" state. the computer sends data to the printer and waits for a ready signal from the printer before it send more data. the printer saves the data in tits memory and sends the ready signal, but the computer doesn't receive the signal and continues waiting. so the computer and the printer both end up waiting for a signal from the other one. usually this is caused by a bad cable, but it can also be a bad connector or misconfiguration.
