This is about the National Do Not call list?

I was wondering if any way this affected businesses, like regular people (customers) calling businesses. I only wanted to prevent telemarketers from calling me. if this hurts businesses, then tell me how to get my number off the list.

1. It affects nobody but telemarketers. If you run a business, it's not going to prevent anybody from calling you. Regular citizens don't have to consult the DNC registry before making a call. Neither does any company that you have done business with. Your bank, for instance, can call you and try to sell you stuff. (Wells Fargo does that to me. I mention it to punish them with bad publicity). Polls and surveys are also allowed to call anybody. The law affects only the direct-marketing industry.
2. i'm on the do not call list, and i get calls for surveys and politicians etc.. all the time.
