Has anyone ever used craigslist to advertise something?
I recently put a car and a digital camera up on craigslist seattle washington and immediatly got a response back from a young woman who said she would foward me a money order that she was in a different state and could not pick up the merchandise but one of her "agents" would. I recently heard of a money order scam on the news and read about almost the exact same thing on craigslist complaints, had anyone else got a respose back like this trying to sell anything online?

- There are scams everywhere. It does not matter where you advertise your products. You just have to be careful at all time. I advertise on Craigsslist almost everyday because I sell natural health products. I also sold my old car on Craigslist one year ago. I had a lot of phone calls, but not a single problem. As a matter of fact, people worried about me as much as I worried about them. It was very strange that you got such a quick offer, but it is not impossible. You just have to verify the money order. Make sure it is legitimate before releasing the product.
- If they trust the agent enough to pick up the item, then they should be trusting the agent enough to give the $cash$ when picking up the item. hhmmmpphhhhh sounds like rotten apples to me Best Regards Karla K- in Georgia
