Does careerbuilder work in helping to get jobs?

I've probably submitted over 100 resumes and have not heard back from a single employer. Assuming my resume is fine, what's the deal?

  1. I have been out of work for 4 Months. I have a friend out for 9 months, its the economy, have someone look at your resume what ever state ur in the dept of labor has something called workforce and its usually in your area look it up and have someone check your resume. I had my councilor there redo mine and I have been getting interviews now wasn't before no job yet but i am staying positive. 2 jobs I had I got from careerbuilder never got one from Monster yet I know people who have. go to indeed.com that is a great site. good luck with your job search and I hope i helped You
  2. The problem with those websites is that the often list continual listings- meaning a job that the company does have, but is not currently hiring for. That may be the reason you're not hearing back from the companies. I've found that hotjobs seems to be the best out of all the job listing websites, though it does have some scam jobs and continual postings, most jobs I've seen on it are actual openings. The best thing for your to do is to try and contact someone at the company you're applying for to find out if there is actually an opening or not.
